Stupid question

Yes I know this question is stupid but I honestly want to know! When you're cleaning/squeegeeing your rear windshield at the gas station how do you control the water runoff

When you're cleaning/squeegeeing your rear windshield at the gas station how do you control the water runoff at the bottom of the windshield? There's no groove for runoff so the dirty liquid always seems to pool at the bottom and eventually run off the side of the car. I've been trying to blot the little pool with paper towels but it doesn't work that well. __________________ 2009 Nissan 370Z Touring, w/sport, 6MT, chicane yellow/black.
