:shakes head:So.. right now I'm taking my inhaler.. reason why? After picking my subs up from custom sound..I was merging onto the highway.. this stupid tractor trailer decides he needs to get over.. I was forced to go towards the shoulder.. he saw me swerve then he swerves back hard. Look like the back was going to flip sideways. Oh that would have been bad. Bad luck? Well I did ran over a bird this morning ..not on purpose..it flew accross the road it happend so quickly.
Anyways 5hr drive.. heading to Chicago hopefully this **** doesnt happend again haha |

Good to here nothing ended up happening. One of the people in my unit got run over by a semi last week on the interstate. Fortunately they sustained only minor injuries (i think it was a broken ankle).

have a safe trip. :) |
Tractor trailers are even scarier when their drivers are asleep...
I made a trip down to SC in July, and had I left a minute earlier, I'd probably be dead. A dual-trailer FedEx truck whose driver had dozed off plowed through the eastbound I-84 guardrail, cleared the 15 foot grass median, then broke through the westbound guardrail and struck a pickup, sending it flying down the nearby embankment and killing its driver. I was maybe the 20th car to show up. Couldn't go anywhere since the truck was jackknifed across all three lanes. Sat there for 2-3 hours before they funneled us the wrong way down the nearby on-ramp (only to run into an hour's worth of stop-and-go traffic). Fun times. |
LT- damn... i remember one time traffic slowed down due to congestion and i saw a fedex truck in my rearview mirror coming up the lane next to me approaching pretty fast so i blared my horn to see if the drive was awake while he passed by. he was awake but was looking at something in the cabin and as soon as he looked up he slammed on his brakes. lucky for him and the cars ahead of him he stopped in time, but it was close. and we could smell and see burning rubber. :D

All of these FedEx guys hauling butt makes me wonder if we are to blame. Where are my Berks? Where are my Swifts? Where is my new lens???

USPS FTW! :ugh2: :icon14: :wtf2:

USPS and UPS used to be a joke -- not too long ago. Now, they are both excellent and it is FedEx out there racing around like mad men and delivering poor service.
I live on a VERY narrow street -- it is so narrow, in fact, that only one car can safely travel upon it when there are cars parked. The FedEx drivers treat our street as if it is NASCAR practice time or something. I use my Bullhorn when I am in the mood and "caution" these Kyle Busch wannabes to slow down. I am courteous of course, when I deliver these amplified admonishments. Due to my trying to help the drivers mend their residential driving ways, I try to never ship with FedEx, lest they treat my packages with "special care". |
Awhile back i worked at this warehouse.. I had trucks back into the building to drop off things ..out of 100s of trucks.. one truck driver couldn't back up straight.. after many tries.. he came up to me and said "i think your building is crooked" wtf?
|
lol... my works is in corporate area and there are bigrigs backing in/out of our neighboring buildings all the time. i can tell immediately which drivers are veterans and which just suckarse. :D even other truckers get impatient and start closing in on the guy as he makes many attempts to make his truck back up right. it's pretty funny.
