Almost got ran over by a tractor trailer

Tractor trailers are even scarier when their drivers are asleep...

I made a trip down to SC in July, and had I left a minute earlier, I'd probably be dead. A dual-trailer FedEx truck whose driver had dozed off plowed through the eastbound I-84 guardrail, cleared the 15 foot grass median, then broke through the westbound guardrail and struck a pickup, sending it flying down the nearby embankment and killing its driver.

I was maybe the 20th car to show up. Couldn't go anywhere since the truck was jackknifed across all three lanes. Sat there for 2-3 hours before they funneled us the wrong way down the nearby on-ramp (only to run into an hour's worth of stop-and-go traffic). Fun times.
