next car
I am trying to keep my Z for the weekend car and looking for a DD, or vice versa.
Since Z has 6 cylinder, 6MT, RWD, I am looking for something I missed from getting Z: AWD, turbocharged. Besides STI and Evo (I want to move on to European cars) what are the possible options that are easy to be modded? All I can think of now is 335xi, but I would rather buy 1M for that price. Next option is Golf R20, I guess I would be able to make 300-350awhp if I put 10k on the mods. If you have any idea about the choices, let me know! ================================================== =========== update After researching for hours and by looking at various comments, I will go either 335xi or wait for the next M3. Or hopefully.. a used GTR... I guess I have to wait until 2013 to save up some $$$..lol.. The reason why I wanted awd was that last year, I was stuck at my house when it snowed for 2 weeks. I am working at healthcare field, and I had to go to the work. However, Z was not drivable once it came out of the garage Yea.. I could just buy 335i or M3 and call taxi! Pending on ur price range. Look at an audi a4 or s4. Or if u want a 2door car, an a5 or s5

either 45000 for the car itself, or car+tune=45000
I really cant find a car that can deliver as fun as Z for that price. I also thought about trading-in my Z and get something around 60k, but I was not able to find a turbocharged AWD german car beside 335xi. I also looked at S4, but it is S/C |

Your options are limited to begin with and coupled with your own limitations you are pretty much stuck. If you want European you are pretty much stuck with the 335ix. From Asia you have the STI and EVO. I don't think anything from VW is worth it right now.
In my opinion, for a nice cruiser that still has power, I would get the S5. Love the look and it has AWD which I also love. The only downside is the performance for the price. Then again, the $/performance ratio on European cars is pretty bad when compared to cars from Japan. So with that in my mind my vote is for the STI. Stage 2 will get you a high 12 sec car that can be very versatile with regards to weather and space. Still very fun to drive and not to heavy in the pocketbook. Again, you can stick to your European move but all your really doing is paying 10-20k more for a name (BMW, benz, audi, etc). |

The new S6 (and S7 and S8) are all going to use a turbo V8... you could look into that...
