you win the prize lol. car started/ran fine on the way to work but the service engine soon light wouldn't go off. pulled the code, emissions evap control module(slow leak) aka gas cap. bumped it washing the car when i was drying it off yesterday and didn't think anything of it.

prety old issue...happens on most cars. did you have to replace it? usually its just not tight enough

Wife did this the other day. Took me a minute to figure out.

check! i know the cap's tight on mine cause i gassed her up yesterday and heard a click when i tightened the cap. :)

it was just loose, bumped it while drying but it really loosened it a lot when the shammy grabbed the plastic lanyard for the cap. i saw it happen was was just like "meh, not a big deal", sel yeah big deal for me
