Well for me it was a combo of things. Was looking for something to replace my g35 coupe which I loved. Almost got a 5.0 stang, but then wife and i saw my white z at the dealer lot one day and decided on that coupe versus the bc roadster. Also, this might sound funny/cheesy, but u know that commercial for Nissan? The one with the guy stretching out his z to become a maxima?
Well believe it or not, that commercial helped seal the deal. That z just looked hawwwwt.

Few reasons I ended up in my z
1. I've owned 5 nissans this making my 6th, all were great cars and I miss each in there own way, 01 altima, 05 specV, 05 350Z, 89 240sx, 95 240sx. 2. When I traded out of my 350 it was into a 06 sti, fast car no doubt but it sucked gas and was really numb compared to the z as far as steering, I then traded out of that into a 01 BMW M3. Better steering feel and gas mileage but the car started developing issues within a year and even me being a BMW tech working for a dealership I couldn't see investing the money in the car. As old as it was. So then within a weeks time my fiancee and I traded out of both our cars. She has a 2011 mini and I got my 370z used with 5k miles on it for 25k out the door. Didn't realize how much I missed driving a Z, that and out of all these cars the Z is the one I catch most people looking at when I drive by

I have always wanted to own a "Z" car. I really liked the old Datsun's, 300zx, and I was going to buy a 350z until I saw pictures of the 370z. I loved how it gave me flash backs of the old Datsun's, I finally pulled the trigger yesterday and now I have a 370z sitting the third bay of my garage. |

I got rid of my 350 because of hip arthritis and the increasing associated difficulty of getting in and out of that vehicle.
Back in January, I got a new hip and in March, I got a new Z. |

Lets see:
Drop dead sexy good looks.(car never fails to turn heads) I love the attention except from the cops. Handles as good as any or better in its class. Not the fastest but most will agree it is considered damn fast enough.even without mods. it is dependable i'm at 27,000 and nothing but a bad gas cap and oil changes. and to me the most important reason is i never get tired of pushing in that little starter button. that never gets old....... |

I have to agree having 90% of the convenience featured of the loaner Acura's I drove (once for a month!) in a sports car is very appealing.

Happy to say I just got my Z 2 weeks ago. Had a 2004 M3, and to echo what others have said, the maintenance was getting to be too much. When I was younger I lusted after a 260, then a 280, raced/beat the cr@p out of a 91 SE-R for a few years and learned to respect the reliability of Nissan. Almost bought a base 370Z 2 years ago and now I have Black 370 Z with the Sport Package and it encompasses the best of every car I've ever owned.
For the price, you can't find another car with the exotic looks and performance to match. I'm so happy! |
