Just make a set out of 2 x 10 planks screwed on top of one another, for 2 planks they will need to be about 48 inches long and about 60 inches for 3 planks together, note you need about 12" additional length for every transition in the ramp height.

If I had a choice of ramps, commercial ramps , I would go with metal ramps, instead of the plastic ones. I tried the rhino ramps about 10 yrs ago and never trusted them. The plastic ramps just tended to slide around to much and the plastic's tends to degrade with age to and get brittle , specially if left out in the sun. Metal ramps last almost forever unless they rust out. When I used ramps on the corvettes, I never drove up on them, I would first jack up the car and then place the metal ramp under the wheels. Driving up on high ramps you really need 2 adult men or young guys that, are not afraid to adjust and make sure they don't move as you are driving up on them. So when doing working on your own or with wife or girl friend its best to do it the slow and safe way. |

I use my Rhinos regularly (with my wooden "helpers")and I get no slip and am easily able to get the Z up on them alone. |
I use rhino ramps as well, no probs, just put something in front of them to support and it should be all good.

I have the fatter Rhino ramps and they work great. I'm on stock height and for you to clear the bumper, you have to keep the ramps a bit off-center so it just rubs the rubber flaps.

Placed the ramps by the curb side let some other person take them LOL. Never again. |
Operator error.

As a different option... I tried the rhino ramps too but they scooted across my garage floor so I bagged that idea and invested in a really high quality set of jack stands. They are ESCO brand and have a rubber pad on the top, really heavy pin locks, and have a 6K capacity per pair. They were expensive but the car is extremely stable on them. I put my floor jack with a modified hockey puck under the front jack point and lift one side of the car. I set both jack stands on that side, then go to the other side of the car, lift and set both jack stands on that side of the car. It takes me about 5 minutes and the entire car is off the ground. And it's rock solid... I'd have no problem sleeping under there. Just another option.
