Getting my wheels painted next week!
 

Thinking about going with a slightly darker color but not as dark as the 40th wheels. My car is PW so what do you guys think a good color would be on the stock rays? I would have done a poll but haven't figured that out yet.

I may get flamed for this but I always loved Gold/Bronze wheels on white cars. Some here may feel its a little too Subaru WRX/STI-ish tho. :rofl2:

Get them to polish the lip, and clear coat them too

I also want to powder coat my 40th wheels to a darker gunmetal. Or just go black

I have a PW, and although white on white would look awesome, it would never stay clean!

lol black and white is seriously one of the best combo color in the world imo...
since our fangs are already black... it should blend really well...

I don't know how hard it would be for the painter to do, but very metallic, light charcoal grey with the rim left silver would look neat. mjg's rims look awesome. A lot has to do with the color of the car.

I'm starting to get turned-off to the all black wheels. They look great if you are after the "race car" look, but I don't think that's what you are going for. I think I would get tired of it pretty quickly.

That being said, the 40th anniversary rims look gorgeous to me, they go with the car color perfectly. I'd trade for a set in a heart beat.

Keep us posted on your decision, and please post some pictures when it's done.
