best rims for silver zed!! include photos please if can
 

planning to buy some rims, but I want the best look, I was thinking 18" matt black with chrome edge?
please help brainstorm

I thiink if you have sport rims they really stand out on silver. 15/20mm spacers and a good coilover kit will just make them stand out even more. But black rims does give the Z a stealthier gangsta look. Just imho and nothing more... I would stay away from the chrome lips though unless I owned gunmetal, black or red. Those colors create more of a positive contrast for the lip vs silver on more bright accenting. Go with a black that's not glossy, because glossy black looks cheap on rims. But don't go matte to the point where they are borderlining gray. But a subtle true black matte finish. Something in the 5 or 6 star design, and extremely dark tint all around as the accent. Also black out the front bumper lower lip or replace it with a thin lipped body kit. Which would look even nicer imho. That's more or less where I was headed with my silver Z eventually. :(

I don't know - that matte black stuff is blase' if you ask me. I prefer something about the same color as the Z or maybe a gun metal center with polished lips.

If you have the sport package and want to show off the brakes, something with five spokes (or so) might be the ticket.

Warning - I am aesthetically challenged. :)

'chrome edge' you mean polished lip? 18's are too small with polished lips imho.

I went 18. 19 are sick expensive and 20 are nice but dd them with rubberband tires without a drop was iffy. I slapped on my 18 and have never looked back. From what I've seen my z is as distinct a silver z as there is on the forum, not the nicest or most expensive. With my wheel combo and lip kit and tint I turn heads and garner attention at a sick rate every day all day.

Overall do what makes you happy not what you think someone else will like. I went aftermarket 18 and bought a cheaper wheel and love them. Most people can't tell the size or price and they have held up excellent

Good lucki will try and post some pics to help you decide but go with your gut of black wheels, makes the silver z look menacing

You can do Advan RSD or SSR SP3/SP1, they call come with black/polished lip

I've seen a couple of silver cars rolling on Mag blue wheels. I really like the look.

But if you want something more conservative then definitely go gunmetal or silver like Trip.

Slightly off topic but on a base 2014 370z, how much wider can we go with out causing and issues?

9 in the front, 11 in the rear. 10/12's will force you to camber (I'm no expert but I'm like 90%sure)

Do something unique. You can pretty much do every color possible. silver on grey is boring to me.

18" deff to small!!!!!!! Silver on silver, silver on polished, silver on silver w/ chrome hardwear i think looks nice.

Don't get me wrong I love the Rays! But at the end of the day there stock. Just like the them intakes and exhaust, etc, etc.

I've got the 5-Axis: AD wheels on. As shown here. The day I got it on my Z.
Here it is on my car with amuse rear, sport spoiler.
They look like the new 991 carrera wheels, makes your car look more Porsche-like.

I currently have these on 20s, I get compliments everywhere I go. It's fantastic!

This, easily the most attractive wheel I've seen on any silver 370z.

I currently have S-Tune nismo rims that come originally in gray,
They look slick n lots of ppl ask me about them.

Srry i cant post pics from this phone, but do try to find an image on the net. Also they r lighter than any stock rims.

they're perfectly paint matched. lightest wheels either stock or optional for the Z. my friends all say they're UGLY. i think they're awesome though.
