Z broken Into Last Night

So last night I go to a local bar I have been to many times before to have a burger and a beer. Parked the Z on a well lit road with plenty of other cars around one block from where I was going to. This was around 9:30ish. Stayed inside for about 2 hours and decided to call it an early night. My brothers older Benz was parked in front of my car. As I'm walking up, I think to myself, "why is my driver window down?" My brother then turns to me and says,"hey your window is open." This was from about 15 feet away and the street light was reflecting off the wet black paint creating a glare. When we got closer is when we realized that the window was smashed out. My windows are tinted so the driver window was in 2 big chunks. Plenty of glass was all inside the car none the less.

The scumbag(s) that decided to smash out my window then proceeded to go through my car as evidenced by the glove box and center console both being open. Nothing was taken, there isn't really anything of value in my car except a pair of headphones that they either did not see or did not care to take. Had to get all the glass off the driver seat so I didn't ruin the leather when I sat down. To make matters worse, it was lightly raining. Zipped home, fitted a garbage bag over the window with some duct tape and had Geico schedule me for safelite first thing in the morning. The window is fixed, now I have to have it re-tinted. I'm having an alarm installed with tilt sensor and infrared to hopefully get some good noise when mutts approach my car. I figure it can't hurt. Out of the many cars, The 370 attracted these a-holes. Unfortunately with nice cars you get good and bad attention. God I wish I would of caught these F*king Pukes.

Know how you feel

My 1978 z was stolen in 1983 and today I damaged my bumper of my 2010 370. We should remember it very annoying to have our cars damaged, stolen and broken into, but cars can be replaced and repaired.

Dude, I am so sorry to hear about that..& Yes it does suk... I would have flipped if I saw someone smash yr glass & I dont even know u... I had a similar experiance on my truck where they broke the passenger glass, went thru all my stuff took the GPS window holder & pack of 1/2 a pack Newports, but left the GPS, $10+ in quarters, & 2 bottles of wine behind.... There is a special place in hell for these a-holes.. I just wish I could watch...

Oh wow, that blows..but at least nothing was taken (least of which being your car and/or your life). My '92 CRX was stolen and it had TONS of goodies inside of it. Nowadays I keep the contents of my ride pretty bare of desirables.

Man that sucks! Friend of mine had his truck borken into. Smashed the window with a pipe. Apparently had nice follow through as they dented the door as well... the truck was unlocked the whole time.
