I dont understand how is it possible to do a 12.8 stock. My results were in the 13.49-13.6 consistantly.

Is it the weather, elevation, the larger tires, or weight reductions (removal of car parts), or a combination of all the above??

Weather was perfect, around 40-50*, and definitely makes a difference. When I ran in the summer heat, I was in the same 13.5-13.6 range as you while stock. After adding an exhaust that improved to 13.4 and MPH went up by like 2. That was when the temps were a little over 100*.

Track elevation is 320 ft, not sure what it was where you ran it or how much of a difference it would make. I didn't have bigger tires, didn't adjust air pressure, and didn't even take out the spare. I was running low 13's all that day.

12.23@111.23? Well, maybe YOUR C5. I have not heard of or raced a C5 that could have come close to that. Not saying it didn't happen, but the LS1 cars had some freaks for sure. Very inconsistant performance car-to-car.

However, the Youtube vids I see of 370Z's running C5's are usually a driver's race.

Besides, OP has an automatic. How many OEM stock automatic C5's are running identical or worse times than OP? Answer: Most.

I'm not saying that the fastest 370Z timeslip is equal to the fastest C5, you're right, it just isn't so. However, the difference between the average performance of the two cars is so close as to be a moot point unless you're betting money.

Handling, I have not driven a C5. I was just going by "the numbers" in the slalom and skidpad tests I have seen done.

Most average C5 drivers run 13.1-13.4@104-107mph.
About what I see for these 370Z's.

DR on a car isnt "bone stock." DR make a HUGE difference in the performace of a car. on stock vette tires youd spin like hell trying to lanch it as hard as you did w DR.

Not bashing you or saying you didnt do it by any means. but i know (as well as you prob do) that drag radials or slicks make a huge difference.
