Look into this other thread. Very similar but with some not so nice stories.

Yesterday on a crowded city street with 3 lanes, an S2000 in the right lane revs his engine next to me then speeds in that lane. It has a lot of side streets and driveways on his right, very dangerous.

I just mind my own business and drive normally. That idiot drops back and does it again but this time had to switch lanes abruptly to avoid a car that was making a right turn from his lane. Cut off the car in front of me nearly causing an accident, then starts weaving in and out of traffic ahead. I guess he didn't want to pull along side of me again because he made a total fool of himself. :shakes head:

Thank goodness no damage done but let's all drive safe out there.

Weird happening. Usually, here in CLT, I don't get much revving or whatnot. Last weekend, I was down in Lake Wylie, SC and 4 different sedans tried to instigate a race on the streets.

:shakes head:

It hurts even more when that same person is driving a 370z. Today I saw a dark grey Z, with those really cheap *** 100 dollar a wheel deal zippin around campus like he was doing some f*ing time attack. Sure he knew people were staring but failed to make the connection that it was because it was foolish, and not cool.

b15 05-15-2013 08:44 PM

I hate when people get on my *** because I'm in a sports car and they think I'm going to take off. A smooth 1-2 shift in casual driving puts me behind traffic anyhow, sometimes I shift even slower and they'll fly around me.

Haboob 05-15-2013 08:46 PM

The most annoying thing?

When people look at me.

Also, when they don't look at the car.

Unless she's pretty, then that doesn't annoy me.

Sometimes I just stare back at them. They get uncomfortable and look straight.

So i have found over the past couple weeks driving the roads are filled with morons. Not only some but now everyone acts like one...especially if you are in a 370z. I have noticed people wave, and give the thumbs up to rev their engine, give the thumbs down, pull up next to you speed off, (but not getting very far because they are driving a camry) or just plain and simple give u the ugly look and give u the finger. I had a lady pull up next to me the other day in her late 40s early 50s prolly, and give me the finger....I dont know why but by the way she zoomed off and looked at my car in disgust I was like uhhh...really? :bowrofl: Are people really that much haters....I find it funny, but then when the cops get in on it its not. One cop decided to follow me down a road then he pulled up next to me, gave the glance then shaked his head...then before the light turned green he floored it ( and went no where) but still managed to leave me at the red light confused. Has anyone else experienced this type of behavior since you have gotten a Z, I mean sheesh I know its a nice car and all....but relax people. Also ESPECIALLY other tuners, or muscle cars act the most annoying...sorry mustang lovers but all u mustang pppl (especially the older ones before 2002ish) always try to "race" me, even when im just cruising on the highway. They intentionally tailgate me and then speed off...like im suppost to chase them? :ugh2::bowrofl: I dont mean to intetnionally show off, I can afford it so I drive it. Never had this problem when I had my T-bird....I wonder what has changed.....:roflpuke2: :driving:

That actually happened to me this morning an older mustang tried to race me the driver was an older guy lol I smoked him even with his head start cuz I didn't know we were racing but it does happen quite a bit...the looks I'm not so sure about tho I've never had that happen to me

I notice most of the haters looking at my 370Z (vanity) and when i see them looking they roll their eyes, once we make eye contact, i just laugh and apppreciate my girl even more. Most 350Z drivers just stare too, but i did have one that was cool when i was in Sealy, we actually rode together at about 80MPH for a few miles and gave each other props on our Z's. You can tell who really has Z blood running in their veins, and who is just trying to keep up with the Joneses. The most noticeable time while driving is at stop lights, when the light changes everyone at the front of each lane next to you wants to gun it when the light changes. Keep in mind, I only drive My Z on the weekend. :bowrofl:

JARblue 05-16-2013 10:54 AM

I often have the radio comedy station on in the Z, so when someone looks over at me with a dirty look, I just start laughing manically :icon17:

What is funny is when about 3 of 5 times wife drives our Z atleast one douche bag tries to race her. :wtf:
