Can I go anywhere without someone trying to race me or show me up? A ford explorer, yeah you read that right, try to keep me from passing him on a two lane entrance ramp. A boxy looking SUV tried to keep me from moving over to the inside lane. A duramax wanted to show off how cool he was by coming up on my a$$ on the interstate. I tapped the brakes to get him off of me. Well it piss this douche bag off and he cut off a couple of cars to get around in front of me....This all happened within the past two hours. The gf was pissed at my irresponsibility with the speed but she was impressed with the way the nismo handled.

Calm down everyone, the Z is a nice car but it's not an exotic supercar. I find it hard to believe that everyone is so jealous and envious of a $30k car

No issues with 350 guys (& girls) down here. In fact they're one of the best and friendliest out where I'm at. I'm sure there's a douche out there some where but I have not encountered one yet.

Agreed! Relax folks, it's just a Nissan. Regardless of what you drive, there will always be idiots on the road.

It is an exotic supercar....maybe just to me. I don't think it's a jealousy or being envious thing. I am guessing most want to see what the 370z is capable of doing firsthand. Some just go about in a retarded way.

I've had people take pictures of my z when I am coming out of the grocery store. I've also had these girls start taking picture of my car when I was passing by the movies on a friday night. It may not be an exotic but it does sure gets lots of attention; breaking necks and what not.

The one thing being consistent when i drive is people always trying to pace with me, damn i mean chill I'm trying to drive in peace instead i gotta tap into the Z real power every now and then to get on to the exit!

Haven't had any stories yet, that I know of. I tend to not look at others when I drive.

Though, I know I have been cruising 70 on the freeway (certainly doesn't feel like I am though) and there are always people flying by me. Kind of a weird feeling, but I'm not going to follow suit and get pulled over. Not yet anyways...

Most pple think it cost 50k to 60k, well the ones that ask me "wow...how much is that car...about 50K/60k right?" Then you have the ones that are jealous, usually in ghetto wanna be hondas, etc....

Had an older lady In a red 350z get crazy with me. She was trying to pass everyone up I. Stop and go driving.. I get up to her side to give her a thumbs up, and what do you know she gives me a mean look and floors it..

She must have ran out of batteries.

I get this lady today on RT 100 (two lane heavy traffic in front of us both) she keeps running up on my right hand side and giving me the death stare or something? I'm like if she's trying to race me she is retarded because of the traffic in front of us both, + she's in a charger which I believe is 465 HP so it ain't much of a race starting at 70 against the Z, she would dominate that I assume but again she does this like 5 or 6 times as i maintain my speed because there is a car in front of me and her and it's moving at 70ish but it's heavy and the road is wet. I can't figure out what the lady was really trying to accomplish. I'm assuming she was retarded or else she farted and was trying to air out her car because she literally looked like someone stole her batteries.

if she was playing around you'd think she'd smile, she didn't. maybe I looked like her ex or her current boyfriend and she like totally hates him. I dunno.... it was kinda weird...

just found this thread but i got enough stories to contribute from the past year i've had my Z for about 3 pages lol

regardless of that last night leaving work i ended up next to a tool driving a BRZ at the one light. dude just sat there starring at me and revving his little square 4 banger with stock exhaust to get my attention :shakes head:

to respond to his gesture i let him hear the F.I. exhaust and he just looked down then slowly putted off with his tail between his legs....well i guess his exhaust between the wheels would be appropriate :bowrofl:

Had a guy pull up next to me on the freeway in his SUV last night.. kept speeding up, slowing down, speeding up, slowing down.. Nevermind that I was in the right lane sandwiched between some cars, so even if I wanted to respond somehow (which I didn't), I couldn't have. Just ignored him and after a bit, he gunned it and sped off as best he could. Saw a few cops on the road shortly after, so was hoping one of them snagged him.

People are weird.

I'm cruising home on 9W at about 60, cruise control on doin my thing. Out of no where I had a crazy old man in a benzo driving up my rear and flashing his high beams like crazy. We hit a light and he comes up on my left flicks me off and yells out his window that I don't have to be in such a rush and that I'd kill someone. No idea where this dude came from and on this particular night you'd have been hard pressed to find me going over 65 at any point in the drive. Light turns green and he's off like a bat out of hell, I take off on my leisurely way shaking my head. This was my first random run in like this in the Z. Haters gonna hate.

Here something that get's me all jacked up! It's when I come to an intersection with a red light or stop sign, and I want to make right hand turn, the jack wagon (usually the dude in the I got a bad a$$ truck) in the left turn or go straight lane will pull forward just enough so I can't see the oncoming traffic. So I get to wait for the light or his lame #$% to move on first. :mad:

Happens to me in my Civic and C300 Sport (wanna talk about a car that affects how people drive around you, rent a Merc for a day). I think it's just lack of common courtesy or common sense. I feel for ya!

Most annoying thing to me is when people try to talk down the Z to make it seem like their car was a better choice or my car was a bad choice...:shakes head: Has happened to me on multiple occasions

I'm cruising along a 4-lane divided highway at a few MPH below 70 and notice a red Vette in my mirror about a half-mile back, going just a few MPH faster than I am. I went over a hill and lost the Vette in the mirror. Get to to the bottom of the hill and the Vette crests the hill, closing fast. Zooms around me at probably 100 and takes "my" exit. Vette gets to stop sign, floors it, does a donut in the middle of the road, then speeds down the entrance ramp and back on the highway. I still don't know if he was playing with me or I just happened to be there when he decided to have some fun.
