the sports package is 3 grand more and most on here will tell you its worth every dime. the brakes will throw you thru the windshield. as good as brembo. even though they say nissan. |

Yup, find a good stretch of road and launch it. If it leaves 1 tire mark you have a base, if it leaves two tire marks you have the sport.

The LSD and syncrorev features are the only few things that can not be easily seen. All the other sports package items can be easily added to a base and disguised as a sport package trim.

Couldn't he just call up any nissan dealer, give them the VIN # and let them know what package he has? But yeah LSD is another way to check.

To determine if you have the Sport package, check the tire sticker in the driver's door jamb. (see attached pic).
This sticker tells you what tires your car was equipped with when it left the factory. Here in the USA, the only way to get 19" wheels/tires from the factory on a 370z is to order the Sport package. So: If this sticker lists 19" front/rear tires (as in "275/35R19"), you've got a Sport package car with the limited slip differential. If it lists 18" tires front/rear, you do NOT have the Sport package, and do NOT have a factory limited slip rear axle. Last edited by kent370; 08-08-2011 at 06:09 PM. |

^ ahhh this is the smartest/fastest way. non sport = 18, sport = 19.

Really darn clever. Must better than when I was helping a friend shop for MR2 Turbos to find which VIN # comes stock with turbo AND LSD.

I still am so curious why someone in their right mind would downgrade sport brakes to whatever was on there.
