I saw a coworker through my window set his coke can on top of my car to answer his phone. I fuckin lost my mind and scolded him in front

It's your property and you have a right to say something. If they are co-workers I understand you have to be a little gentle about it. No problem...they also have to be gentle about backing off. I would never walk off without saying something and explaining that it wasn't ok to do that.
If it's a stranger the same goes especially if you plan to keep parking there. You don't want some prick coming back to key your ride. If you're leaving no sense in being nice unless you're a little guy. |

if i didn't know them personally, i would of kindly asked them to not lean on my car.....if i would've of known them, i would of told them to get the EFF off of the car.....but then again, if they knew me and my cars, they would know not to lean on them cause i would flip.
i had a coworker notice that i had a thin layer of dust on the Z and he ran his finger across the rear spoiler and made some kind of sarcastic comment about why i let the car get dirty.....and i immediately snapped at him and thanked him for the new scratch!....he didn't know that running your finger on a dirty car will scratch it....he knows now.... |

I guess there's a polite way of telling those folks to get off the car... but bottomline, whether you tell them or not, immediately or not, the damage is ALREADY DONE. Any amount of contact by people who don't know jack about paint and how delicate it is, will have left a mark/scratch/mar on your paint. The question is HOW MUCH DAMAGE has it caused. Time to get the buffer out, and hope you can remove the damage. If it were me, I would have ran to the car, swearing underneath my breath, and would have sternly told them to get off the car, regardless of if I knew them or not.

If someone does lean on your car you should tell them not to do it and explain the risk of scratching the paint from belt buckles, zippers, or other rough parts on clothes.

All it takes is one errant granule of dirt trapped between the douche bag's body and your paint, and the damage is done. We're not EVEN talking about the damage buttons and snaps could cause. Soooo many people are completely clueless with regards to how delicate paint actually is because they've never taken the time to closely inspect theirs.
