Monteray Blue and Drive Thrus
So, a couple of weeks ago at about 2am I started craving some food so I head down to my local Jack In the Box. This is something ive done countless times before in my 89 BMW 325i. So I order my food and drive around to the window like usual. The girl working the drive thru slides open the window and just stares at me in the 370z. She starts stuttering a little bit. I, I, I love that color. So I thank her for the compliment to my car. This apparently flustered her cause she spent the next 45 seconds trying to figure out how to ask for my credit card. she goes back inside to get my food and comes back to the window. All she can say is that "i really like that color" over and over again. She hands me my food, turns bright red, says thanks and quickly slides the window shut. The food was good.
Fast forward to last night. Im at the KFC on 19th ave and Bell rd and am treated to almost an exact repeat of my Jack in the Box experience. She didnt get as flustered as the first girl but her reaction to the 370z was just about the same. Know if only I can find some fast food places where the drive thru girls are hot as opposed to mediocre and I might be on to something. I call it Monteray Shock or Monteray Induced Psychosis. |

When I was waiting on my Z to arrive the dealer gave me a base 2.5 Altima as a loaner. The guy at the window of a drive-thru I went to called a couple of other guys that worked over going, "Hey come here - Look it's the new Altima!". I was laughin' my *** off because A) The Altima's been out for a couple of years now and B) It's a freakin' Altima!

My experience wasn't at a drive-thru but it was still memorable...
I had lot's of people make favorable comments about my '04 Daytona Blue Touring Coupe but this one experience stands out from the rest. I had just had my dealer install Nismo wheels and new tires on the car and I had stopped at a Shell station a couple of blocks from the dealer to fill up. While I was there; a car pulls up to the pumps on the other side and this very cute teenage girl (I'm guessing 16-17) gets out, comes over, tells me she thinks my car is the most beautiful car she's ever seen then gives me a hug (I assume she feld it safe to hug me as I was 50 at the time and probably didn't look very "dangerous" )...then she just gets back in her car and drives away. I had a smile on my face the whole day.
