Mobil Racing 0W-30

The Mobil 1 store now shows the new 'Racing' oils as in stock. A mere $127/case of 6 quarts. I'd hate to see what they are charging our European friends.

Probably still doesn't beat Amsoil at $8/quart

For some odd reason on the Advanced Auto Parts web site the Mobil 1 0W-30 Racing oil is only $5 a quart, cheaper than even their regular blended synthetic. Must be trying to clear it out for a newly revised formula.

I just looked at several Advance Auto sites in my area. A few still show 'low stock'. It's hard to say if it is a match.

It has higher phosphorous and zinc levels for additional anti wear properties. Those items are not good players with catalytic converters. As such the oil manufacturers have been reducing them in the typical products for street driven cars.

It is possible to add these items back into your oil via the use of something such as Red Line's engine break in oil.

I have a friend that uses it in his 962 brakes. His opinion is that is way cheaper using the SRF than the possible downside. For me I've had good luck with Motul RBF600
