Shipping car back to states: few questions...
Tomorrow I am shipping her back to the states for I am PCSing from Italy at the beginning of September.
Questions - 1. I have Volk wheels. They have the Volk valve stem caps and I dont want them to get stolen during transport. How important is it to have a stem cap on them? Will air leak out? 2. I have never taken off the Volk center cap and it was installed for me. How difficult is it to remover the center cap? 3. I have WORK lug nuts currently on and am thinking of putting the stock lugs back on for shipping. Will the stock lugs fit? I am a little worried about the shipping and I am also going to do a video walk around of the car before shipping for insurance purposes. Any help with the qeustions above would be great as well as any other advice you can provide me with! Thanks ALL!!!! :tiphat: |
1. get plastic caps locally and install. no, air will not leak out when you remove the cap.
2. you can use a screw driver from the back to push out the tabs gently. no science to center caps. you will need to remove the wheel from the car to do this. 3. stock lugs are for hubcentic wheels. your wheels are lug-centric by design. look at them and compare. they will not work. have a safe trip back. |
