The Sport models with manual transmissions also have the SynchroRev Match function; the base model does not. I don't believe you can add that to a non-sport model without spending a lot of money. Some like the SynchroRev, some don't, but I think its a pretty cool feature. Of course, if you are looking for an automatic transmission car, then its a moot point.
I think the Sport also comes with larger anti-sway bars too, but I'm not 100% sure about that. If you want the bigger wheels, bigger tires, and bigger brakes, the Sport package is a great deal -- I would think you'd spend a lot more to upgrade a base model to a Sport than if you just get a Sport to begin with.
