Many do well with them, but the truth is they are on the heavier side of the true "race car" types... With enough money any car can be transformed into anything though...
A shop I go to races there and they do very well with theres on an almost stock car with coilovers and a little weight reduction. For starters you would want a proper LSD, some weight reduction, race tires, and proper cooling parts like oil , trans, and diff coolers... Your pockets depth determines how good of a car you can make it...
