Poll about vdc on/off....
Hey all, just want to make a poll about who uses their VDC on all the time vs off all the time. this is also just in perfect weather, I think it would be obvious to use in say rain or snow!
So far in 1600+ miles so far I have yet to turn it off till I learn the cars character Greg |

In normal driving conditions, on. In spirited driving, it gets turned off on occasion but still stays on more often than not. It is not very invasive if you drive using smooth inputs from the throttle and steering but will obviously step in if you really try to toss the car around.

If the road is dry, I turn it off usually. It's fun for a spirited drive to get a little loose back there, as long as you're not playing in traffic.
If there is any dampness, heavy rain, or light snow, I turn it on. I'm no sucker. Under most driving conditions, however, I don't need to rely on it one way or another. 95% of my driving is just normal happy driving, and the wheels don't slip. |

I don't think I have "something to prove". I just like having some fun without the electronic nanny cutting off the power. I've never spun out, fishtailed once or twice, but I know what I'm doing, and I never get even remotely loose when anyone else is within visual range, nor if the road is too curvy to make that decision.

The reason to take it off is purely foolish, purely selfish, it is about fun. With it on, if you go around a corner too quickly, the electronic nannies in the computer kill your throttle so that you go around the corner slowly but safely. With it off, if you go around a corner too quickly, you engage in oversteer, can correct the skid, and powerslide through the turn, fast and fun. Now, you may wonder why anyone would want to do that, but it's obviously desirable for a large enough group that major car manufacturers allow the driver the control to turn it off if they like. |
