straight from you have got to be kidding me
Well as i was taking my morning drive to work today enjoying the view and
some tunes. As i pulled up to a yield sign to check for on coming traffic. I came to a complete stop and not 3 seconds later was rear ended pardon the pun by a Orange County Sheriff Officer!!!!!!! As we both got out i could tell he felt like a fool. He gave me no reason why he hit me. Just this dumb look on his face. Long story short had to call Texas DPS to fill out a report... Their insurance will pay for all damages which came in at 790.00. I'll try to post pics soon. Sorry to ramble. |
sucks!

More proof that no good deed goes unpunished. Sorry to hear about the damage. I wonder if it was distracted driving. Around here cops are the worst offenders of cell phone use, texting, etc.

OP, sorry to hear about the accident, hopefully your baby comes back from the body shop better than new. |
At least they are making you right, I have read about cops that hit people and then act as tough as possible and make the people feel like they did something wrong or even write a ticket for whatever they can.

Took me a solid 15 minutes of my drive just to work my way up through the pack of cars and figure out the problem, and then I figured he probably will write a ticket for going 1 mph over if he's this kind of *******. So I had to pass him at the exact speed limit and then maintain it until he was well out of sight. A few others finally passed when I did. So much for improving the safety of our highways. :ugh2: |
lol and if you'd have just rolled through the stop sign, he'd have ticketed you for doing so. YOU CAN'T WIN FOR LOSING!
|
Sounds like this cop had aced the Epic Fail course.
I'm sorry to hear about your Z. Hopefully your car will come back good as new! |
Man I would have fell out of that car with all kinds of back and neck injuries LOL

sorry to hear, sonic. :( |
Make sure you get his phone number. You now have a get-out-of-jail free card.
Suxs for sure, but it could have beenworse with some Emo in an uninsured honda. |
If I were you I'd sue the police department.
Were you injured?! Injuries take a while to actually show up. Also, are they going to give you a car when your Z is in the shop?! Stories like this piss me off! Sheriff had to ruin a perfectly new 370Z. Now your Z goes down in value thanks to Mr. Sheriff not giving a damn. |
yeah it really sucks. but i have to admit he was cool about it.
he was more embarrassed than anything. he knew he had screwed up big time. i just hate my car having to body work done to it. as one member said i got lucky with the claim.... when i took it to the body shop the shop manager couldn't believe i had all the insurance paper work from the county.. he said most of the time they try to get out of reporting it on their coverage...... one funny story right quick when his shift supervisor showed up to check everything out the first question he asked me was. can you believe it was "is the 370 pretty quick, and how fast had i had it up to". like i was gonna say hell yeah and around 140!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Pix?
