Black vs White...I can't decide!!
 

I can't decide which color to get. Black or white. Once I think i've made up my mind, it gets changed when I see the other color :icon14:. I really like black because I always wanted a black car and black is my favorite color, but I hear that I will regret getting a black due to its high maintenance (gets dirty quickly, swirl marks, high visible scratches & chips). Also, whenever I see white, I fall in love with its clean and classy look. I have seen several black in person and they were almost all dirty. But i haven't even seen a white in person. I am torn between a hassling yet beautiful black over a less hassling and classy white. If anyone had the same problem, how did you choose? What do you guys think? :confused: Once, I make this decision I can move onto the interior color. After that, I can finally get a 370z. Help me decide guys. Any help will be appreciated. :ughdance:

I was split between black and white myself... until I saw the blue in person. IMO black and white look great on luxury cars like Audi's and BMW's. The 370Z is a sports car, make it stand out... just my opinion, you'll love your Z no matter what color you get.

Well I would personally choose Yellow, but between those two I would definitely go with White.

When I got my white one home ... I made love to it.

What was done to make that first white 370z pic shown to make those tail lights like that? Those lights look slick.

I believe this mod. is called whiting out or clearing the tail lights.
Or the end product is called Clear Tail Lights. :tup:

I know your pain man... but I was soo close to getting a white one.. but the black just spoke to me so much... plus i was trading in my black g35... the legacy had to live on haha... black +1

I just saw a white in person and still cannot decide. They both look reallly good. Can anyone tell me if a black is even worth it when comes down to the constant maintenance of the exterior. Thats pretty much the only thing keeping me from choosing black. Washing my car once a week is not a problem to me, but would it take a much more considerable amount of care. Damn, this is really hard to choose! Any suggestions of any kind that will help me finalize my decision, would be truly appreciated.:tup:

If you have a garage to park the car in that would help.

I am not going to say its easy, but I wash my black 370Z once a week. I wax it once a month. I use Zaino products and the car looks clean all week. It is garaged at night. I use all cotton towels and have my routine down. Takes about 1 hour to wash and 4 hours to wash/wax. Overall I would say that the black is well worth the effort. I don't have any water spots or swirl marks due to using Zaino Z5 which claims it protects against those. Black looks the best!!

i vote for black, when it's clean....no other colour compares !!

black looks best (when clean). I have always had black cars, and after years and years of water spots, paint swirls from washing so often, rock chip spots, constant cleaning, it just isn't worth it anymore. I drive 100 miles a day, and i would have to clean my car daily if i wanted it to look at all presentable. If i were you, i would go with white. It looks classy, and hides rock chips, water spots, dirt, paint swirls, and bird sh!t better than black. Since you don't have a garage, you will be washing a black car way more often than a white car.

Actually rock chips on the front plastic fascia look terrible on the white, the plastic underneath is black.

^^ lol... so grey colour chips on the sheet metal and black colour chips on the plastic.

if you go white, the bumper chips will show.
if you go black the hood chips will show.

I already had PG for my 03 350z. I am not a big fan of the blue either. Its black or white for me. But u guys make a point about me not having a garage. So I am starting to lean towards white. What do u guys think about white on frost as opposed to white on black?

I personally like white/black combo. This way you don't have worry about interior stains.

I know people that had the frost interior on the 350z, it doesn't age very well.

I had a white 350z, and went with a black 370z IMO I like the black better. As far as the maintenance on the exterior colors, I like my car to be clean and looking good no matter what so I am always washing it. I found that I actually wash the Black about as much as I did the white. so go with what feels good to you when you drive it!

I love black cars. My first two cars (civic and altima) were black. But I have to admit that they were a pain to maintain. You are going to get it washed at least once a week and waxed at least once a month. That being said, I just traded in my red 350z for a white 370z.

White was my first colour choice and even though I love my dirty grey car, I wish I had waited out for white. Black cars are beautiful but white Zs are just amazing.

The car looks so sick in white. So that's where my vote goes. But if you want my real opinion get red like I have lol.
