Front Plate W/O drilling holes?

I'm picking up the Stillen license mount in a few days when I'm done with school work.
What really bothers me is the treatment I got from the cop that pulled me over and the two cops that I went to for a signature.
I understand they see a young person with this car and probably think that I'm some spoiled brat that can have mommy and daddy pay off everything -_-
The first cop I went to looked me up and down, said no and walked away and when I said I can't drill a hole into my car just shrugged and said oh well whatever. The other lady told me to get over it and do it so I dont get in trouble. Then proceeded to tell me that maybe next time I shouldn't get a car like this so I wouldn't get myself in trouble. Wth does that have to do with anything haha.
I have no problem with the police but I've yet to meet more than 2 cops in irvine that were actually decent in the slightest.
