7AT - 370z
So lately i have been noticing while stopped at red lights that my rpms drop to 500rpm and my car shakes a little and feels like its gonna stall. It happens for a split second and then the rpms climb back up to 700rpms. Car drives perfectly normal. Does this happen to any of you? Any idea what it could be?
I know the obvious answer is going to the dealer but my car is too low..

Still, send it to the dealer or a mechanic. My guess (may not apply to 370z, but usually happens to most cars I worked with) is that there's a vacuum leak. See if issue happens when you slow down when you brake and try it without braking but with e-brake.

If it happens when you brake, probably a vacuum leak on your brake booster or its hose.

just throwing my 2 cents in, but this happens with my cobalt when i have the A/C on and i was told it was perfectly normal which i believe it is since i've never had a problem with the engine otherwise.

When the AC compresser comes on, the engine should speed up to take the compresser load and keep car from stalling, once compresser goes off, idle should drop to normal idle speed. Sonds like yours is dropping too low of RPM after AC shuts off. See if it happens with AC off.

Mine did this for a while and I noticed that one of the breather hoses from the intake had come off. I replaced the breather hose and used some high temp tape to fasten them on both sides. Now the car hasn't done it since.

how many miles? Another thing could be dirty throttle bodies, that can cause a bad idle.

that must be one REALLY dusty area you live in. Either than or you haven't cleaned out the filters for a while.

I'd take it in to the dealer, it should not feel like its about to stall when you have the AC on. But Ridgerunner is right, you can see and hear the revs go up when you turn on/off the AC at a stop light. Sometimes I do this for fun, I'm easily amused =).
