As mentioned above, definatly keep an eye on your oil level. There are many other oil temp and consumption threads if you want to do a little extra reading.

Great advice. Got the oil cooler myself and now 225*F is the highest temp I've seen. It almost makes the oil temp guage superfulous.

Best of luck.

I find synthetic to help drop temps a good 10 degrees. Which is not bad. But if your car is new? I recommend nissan esther for the first 5,000 miles then switch to a synthetic. The engine breaks in better with the esther. Me personally, I love castrol edge.
At switch, the car doesn't feel all that great. But once you pushed a tank of gas through it. The engine feels stronger, smoother and I do notice better temps. My Z would see about 240 when pushed hard. With syn oil I would see 220-230 on the reg. I drive aggressive. I live in dallas.

On another note. Just take it to the dealer and let them tell you what they think. Better safe than sorry

I rarely do this but how many times do we have to beat this issue into the ground?

I think the best way to manage your oil temp concerns is to put a piece of duct tape over the oil temperature gauge.

With so many varied reports on oil temp, I question the accuracy and consistency of the stock gauges.
Maybe my gauge is faulty and I'm running hotter than I think I am. I drive the snot out of my car in the middle of summer and rarely see more than 225° without an oil cooler.

I think this horse has been beat to death...........

imho nissan knew there could be some oil temp issue in some engines and
thats the only reason why they put the gauge in the car in the first place...
when it should have been an oil pressure gauge instead...........
