This subject may have been talked about before. But has anyone noticed that the vdc on the 370 is really sensitive. Several times and without much prodding from me the vdc light with come on for a short time.

I'm not driving like an idiot or anything just under certain conditions it will light up. Is this something nissan has programed into the car.. just wondering.

I have noticed this as well. There is one turn in particular on my daily commute that gives the VDC fits. I'm guessing it might just be Nissan's version of vehicular *** covering, seeing how it seems like the majority of people who have wiped their Z's in single car accidents had VDC off.

Discussed ad nauseum. VDC is very sensitive.

I will be honest, it has worked very well in some cases with me on the road, i hydroplaned 2 weeks ago, and it basically stop the car from spinning out, i do agree its very sensitive.

Its overly sensitive if you have aftermarket bits without any consideration to the vdc program I guess.
My car is basically stock with sticky tires and a tad more aggressive wheels. Barely turns on. And I drive my Z pretty spiritedly.

VDC responds best to smooth driver inputs. It is not that intrusive in enthusiastic corner carving if you make sure to roll into the throttle smoothly as well as use smooth steering inputs. However there are a number of cases that VDC severely hampers such as accelerating out of tight low speed corners, accelerating in wet conditions, or trying to do burnouts.

Only thing I find invasive is the TCS system when I'm trying to shoot the gap and pull out onto a road. The anxiety I get when my car basically bogs down in the middle of a road is immense! It's easier to pull out in a way to not break the tires loose and then get up to speed fast once you're all hooked up.

Mine barely ever kicks in. Check your tire pressure. My guess is your pressure is high.

VCD is sensitive, but so is the rear end. I don't know if its just the tires, power, lack of weight on the rear or some combination, but I don't remember my old Camaro being so easy to get the back wheels spinning.

I do keep VDC on most of the time especially after one incident. But I wish there was a half way point where its less intrusive.
