Race Ramps 56" 2 piece ramps
I wanted to do some work on the Z today only to find out my floor jack couldn't touch this thing ugh.... so I got online did some research and found these ramps for a good price on amazon with free 2-day air. They make a smaller version thats 40" long, not sure if it would scrape on the ramps or not but only supports 8" wide tires. The 56" model supports up to 10" tires and they even make a 67" model if you're really slammed.
Two Piece 56 inch Race Ramps Car Ramps I should have mine on thurs, but if anyone else has them already let me know what you think of them. |

I have the 67" with xtenders because my car is slightly lowered. You'll have to do the yardstick test to see if the 56" will work for yours. They are pricey but they work well and look great. I think that should read 8 or 10" HEIGHT, not width of tires. They all support 12 or 14" widths.

Do the yardstick test to be sure. I'm lowered and needed the 67" with extenders. Fred at ReverseLogic was working with Race Ramps to do a custom 2-piece that was similar to the 67" with extenders too...might want to check that out.

Ok. This thread made me buy a pair of race ramps (that and my old ramps would just slide across the garage when I tried to drive up on them). I got the 67 inchers as I am lowered a bit more than an inch and I drag those skegs in front of the tires all over the place.
So the box almost as tall as me came today. I got the single piece ones since I don't care about the space savings, and I do care about the extra hundred bucks... Threw them down in the garage and drove strait up the ramps with no slip and slide on the concrete. My old ramps were only 6 inches. Those extra 4 inches are a LOT. Now I am not sure about doing an oil change since the motor is leaned back so far and I am not sure about draining all the oil now. I may have to put the old ramps at the back of the car. I am sure that I will like the extra clearance that those 4 inches give up front when I have to pull the undertray...

I have Rhino ramps and to keep them from slipping on the concrete floor, try this: Go to Walmart and buy the cheapest rubber backed bathmat that you can find that is at least 36" long. Cut it in half lengthwise and put a section of it under each ramp. It will keep the ramp from sliding out from under the tires as you crawl forward on it.

With the money you saved you could by the roll ups. They work great with the race ramps to get both ends of the car up.

But don't check the oil level with the car tipped up on the ramps. Drain the old oil, change the filter, put the drain plug back in, put in a little less than 5 quarts of new oil, back the car off of the ramps onto level ground, let the car sit for a couple of minutes, then check the oil level and top off as necessary.
