July 8-9, Grand Am will bring the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge and the Rolex Sports Car Series to Laguna Seca! Watch A.M. Performance in their debut as a two-car team as they take on the 53 car strong field. With some radical new changes, the team is ready to take the fight right to the BMWs, Mustangs, and Camaros that have dominated the series this year, and the track should really suit the sweet handling of their 370Zs.

Tickets are only $30 for raceday, come by the transporter and say hi to the team and pick up your Nissan Motorsports calender!

You guys should post up videos of it racing since i live nowhere near Laguna Seca but would still love to see it.

Whens the next time Grand Am comes on TV? Would love to DVR it...

It's only a 2-21/2 hour drive so I just might be able to rearrange things and root first hand. :tup:

I did not go to the race after all. How did it turn out?

I think Nissan needs to make a V8 powered 370z. Lol! Suspect that's the only way 370z will be competitive with high revving V8s from BMW, Ford and Chevy in Grand Am.

The 370z lap times on Laguna indicate a lack of power to me. I just wonder if there is anything that can be done to overcome power deficit the Nissan V6 has to the v8s? Seems like the V8 cars can carry a little more weight without issue. I thought the 370z would do a lot better than we have seen to date.

It would be real interesting to see dyno charts for fast V8 car and the Nissans.

What types of power limitations are for the class?

Ummm im about a thrid of the way thru watching the race on my DVR and i haven't seen any glimpse or heard mention of the AMP team, or nissan in general. Did you guys not make qualifying runs?

I do know that the TV cameras and commentators focus more on the prototypes, but still, i'm getting tired of seeing the Porsches and RX-8's going round and round when they finally cut to the other class. :D

I do not know how to read the standings. Thank you AM performance.
