But if you build a 600hp TT 370z in my book you can put what ever extras you want. Like rims, carbonfiber, dvd monitor and whatever you feel your can needs. But just remember its a sports car. Put up some numbers on the dyno before dropping cash on the "bling". If you do that I dont think anyone can call you a ricer.

People will still do it though.

These days, ricer has such a negative tone with it that I don't use it on people who pimp their sports cars out (of course, it better look good too..otherwise you are a ricer). I like to apply it to cars that are not fast that are pimped out.

Body kits that ignore all the lines and design motifs of the car. Sometimes unpainted, or painted different colours.

Fake body kit vents and stick on port holes. I recently saw a Z3 whose owner had stuck buick port holes above the vents. Unbelievable.

Paint jobs or wraps that work against or obscure the shapes and lines of the car.

TRD stickers.

Carbon fiber glued over original parts.

Stickers to denote what upgrades you have. Who gives a s*it about what kind of brake pedals you've installed?

Misappropriated badges and emblems, often meant for other cars. Type R Toyotas. Porsche Turbo badges on a BMW.

Farty 4" exhaust tips on cars pushing out less than 130hp.

Rubberised steering wheel covers in random colours.

Blue LEDs on windshield washer jets.

Ornately shaped license plate frames - chains, blades, barbed wire.

Bits of random chrome trim accent.

General busyness and hodge podginess.

Platinum motor sports.

It's all subjective though, isn't it.

;)

Any modification done to a car that dominates the asthetics of the car and does not contribute to the overall beauty of the car as a whole. If you notice the wheels/wing or other modification before you recognize the type of car, it's riced.

Where you got that from Wilkipedia?

If it makes you happy then do it.....but be smart about it.

Things I would never do:

-Any body kit.
-Stickers - if it isn't a race car, they don't belong on there
-Z3 fenders
-Those Autozone vented fender stick on things
-For that matter, anything you can buy at Autozone in the "performance" section
-Have an unmatching set of rims, excluding a spare tire
-Half assing work
-Unpainted body kits (if I put one on)
-COMPROMISING SAFETY FOR ANYTHING (This just had me scratching my head in wonder. My old EP3, people would put carbon fiber doors on them.....which took out any structural reinforcement. Get t-boned? Guess what, YOU'RE SCREWED!)
-Neon

Oh man those videos are funny. :rofl2: That comedian was funny. I hate people who think because they have a coffee can exhaust that some how makes their car super fast. If you wanna have it on your car so be it. But don't pull up to me in your civic and try to race me. I still get people trying to run me in their eco box with the fart cans. Race someone with the same set up. They tried when I had my mustang, my corvette, my challenger and now my nismo. They're not just crusing by reving their engines they like to follow for quite a while to make you run them. Dumbazzes. The blue 350z def ghetto pimped. The g30 something is not ricer, it's stock with nothing on it. The dude is just a bull sheeter. The term ricer the way it's used I don't think it's racist when used on say that red mustang with the gtr sticker but when used to refer to japanese products def racist. Man I hope people don't think my Z is pimped w a fart can cuz I just did a muffler delete and to the trained ear sounds nice but to a joe schmoe what if they think it's riced out :eekdance:
