BTW, Ricers were originally termed to Asian market vehicles that have modifications. However, the term ricer comes from the late 60s early 70s when the Asian in California upgraded thier Toyotas, Mazdas, Nissans, etc and were beating many domestic on the streets. The domestic owners then called them "ricers" as racism because of thier background.
Yeah the term "ricer" is very derogatory. I would like to think that most of the people using this forum are a bit more on the astute side.

Actually the term originated from dumbazz Harley-Davidson riders making derogatory remarks about the far-superior Japanese motorcycles that started coming to the states with the Honda CB750.

The term was, and still is, "rice-burner".
wideglideleon likes this.

If that was the case, we wouldn't be in the middle east.

Except my rice-burner Honda VTX1300C was made in Ohio...

While Harley's parts are made...where?

LMAO it could have been built by Chevrolet, the fringe-leather crowd would still call it a rice-burner.

I had to sit and listen to a clowna$$ CT DMV inspector a few years back when I had bought a used BMW from a guy out-of-state...so in CT you have to get it inspected...he was a Harley Forever moron who kept commenting on how "German bikes suck, Jap bikes suck, the only good motorcycle is Harley", blah blah, and I couldn't say anything since he was doing the inspection...man that pissed me off. And he probably drove a Toyota when on 4 wheels.

Hey, hey, hey.....quit bashing the Harley. My wife and I have one each. It's the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. Maybe that's because Harley has been around for more than 100 years - longer than any other motorcycle manufacturer and most car manufacturers.

I think it happens when someone doesnt have a theme with their car or an idea on what they want to do. Keeping the car simple and clean is personally the best way to go. As long as there isnt gull wing doors, a 35 foot wing on the car, hydrolics, and spinners it should be fine.

Opinions? And some suggestions on what people should NOT do to their Z?
Any modification which makes the car less practical and harder to resell is a big no no in my book. I can't understand why anyone would lower their Z closer to the ground when the car is already too close to begin with and clearly was not designed to be that low.

Generally people remove mods before selling their car -- this is because mods usually never add value to a car and it . They are done for a personal touch when the owner feels a car needs that extra something.

I've never known someone to say "oh man, let me lower this car so I can make out when I trade in!"
