Generally people remove mods before selling their car -- this is because mods usually never add value to a car and it . They are done for a personal touch when the owner feels a car needs that extra something.

I've never known someone to say "oh man, let me lower this car so I can make out when I trade in!"

I'm too lazy to read through all the posts but if it hasn't been said yet neons period. Especially under the, they look the worst when you can see the bulbs. Down here where I am temp living in KY they must have resently discovered them because every kid that has a rusted out price of crap has one.

I agree to its hot.... anything is hot depends how you put it all together. what I wouldn't do is add stick on vents. nikka wheels ewwwww... flame decals, I love decals but depends how it looks. altezza lights are cool just depends how you look at them. body kits are cool to just match them right and lower the car. its a risk to have them on and drive low. I love carbon fiber but not crazy like I gotta have it! trunk and hood, lip is enough nothing more. unless your going full race on the track then its an exception. anyways your money do whatever you like to your car don't listen to me are other nut sacks out there. as long your happy that's all that counts.

^ I agree
CF looks good on certain parts.
I have always been a fan of Lambo doors..sorry guys...it's not like I want to drive 25 mph with the doors up on the boardwalk:ugh2:
Have your car tastefully done..well, it's up to the individual. But I do understand that we're on a forum and many have their own opinions. I respect that..but don't bash someone for parts you don't agree with..we're still part of the Z family ;)..except for the 350z dude with the blower:roflpuke2:

My definition of "Rice" is as follows:

Any modification done to a car that dominates the asthetics of the car and does not contribute to the overall beauty of the car as a whole. If you notice the wheels/wing or other modification before you recognize the type of car, it's riced.

First off i like fried rice..like one guy said theses cars are made in japan so i'm just saying............ anyway it's your money and your car do what you want... why put 4 grand into a 2 seater for a sound system that can be heard two states over.... i've learned from the past i'll keep this one as stock as the day i bought it.any money put into it for mods will never see a return..
im not against that but when you go to sell or trade it in they know you've
kicked the crap out of it....

it seems like these cars are jacked with in all kinds of ways....
didn't mean to ramble final point these cars are great just the way they are.

When I think of ricer I think of someone that picks looks over power. Buying rims when you could buy preformance parts or fake emblems. But if you build a 600hp TT 370z in my book you can put what ever extras you want. Like rims, carbonfiber, dvd monitor and whatever you feel your can needs. But just remember its a sports car. Put up some numbers on the dyno before dropping cash on the "bling". If you do that I dont think anyone can call you a ricer.

And everyone is hating on Carbonfiber. If it looks good I say its okay. Just like I want a carbonfiber hood, side mirrors, and b-pillars but thats it. I just think it will look good on my PG nismo. But I also plan to have Z1 put a GTM Stage 4 TT system in it..... so ricer for having a few carbonfiber parts I dont think so.

I agree with everything.

I hate the patchwork carbon fiber look. I have seen some cars on here that have some parts CF, some parts OEM painted... they just put CF wherever they can get a CF part for it, and it looks horrible.

I hope you are not talking about Tony...:bowrofl: :roflpuke2: :bowrofl:

Few people now where the term "rice" came from and they called everything they don't like rice nowdays. The term "rice" refering to cars started back in the 70s in California, when Asians hook up and fix the cars real nice like Toyotas, Datsuns and Hondas and with a couple of mods beat the crap of the domestic cars too.

The white folks start calling them "rice" because in Asian countries like in any Latin country we eat a lot of rice. There is were the term came from! But we have a lot of ignorant people in this country and now everyone use the term without knowing the true background of the word. :shakes head:
