Is it me or Cali's roads are fill with dips and bumps?

I cant even get out of my driveway without scraping the bottom of the car, not to mention all the speed bumps and dips between junctions.. *stopped me from lowering

*stopped me from lowering my Z
*stopped me from getting a lip
*afraid that i might scrape and damage my new bumper (after i have it installed)

maybe i am too much of a sissy but those parts are pretty expensive

Here's how close my subframe sat on my last car. Daily driven, static ride height. You just have to adjust your driving style and be careful...

Its true Cali have harsh driveways. But not so much on dips and bumpy road. I've learned to master angle my car without getting my bumper scratched.

It's true that some places are really bad, but driving on normal Cali roads should be fine.. especially at stock height.

that only works for some situation, i remember driving under the speed limit once on a street i am not familiar with, and i didnt see the huge dip up ahead and i thought my bumper is gonna come right off

Only time it gets really bad is LA inner city where there's no room to angle and driveways are steep and potholes a plenty. Not so many problems in suburban areas, however.

I don't have too many problems with scraping on normal roads but you can't really avoid it entirely on certain driveways and roads, even if you are careful to approach them slowly and at an angle. I can tell you that after I lowered the Z on Swifts, there wasn't that much additional scraping and of the scraping there is, it is only the little plastic flaps in front of the wheels.

i remember back in the days when Trust (greddy) had those PE exhausts where everyone was scraping them while going out of parking lots down the ramp.

LA roads suck in most areas but there are some real nice ones too.

i hear 405's going to be shut down for repairs or something. GL to you socal people. hahaha.

In about two weeks they will be closing the 405 N&S in one of it's busiest sections. They have dubbed it " Carmegeddon"

The biggest problem in my area is the hills, there are areas I know I will never be able to take my Z so I literally take routes that are at least 5 minutes longer.

lol @ carmegeddon.. but that's going to be some SERIOUS economic impact for the locals that have stores, etc in the affected areas, no?

yah, when i lived in LA long time ago i too had to take alternate routes cause my modded car was just too damn low and stiff.

I've always imagined California to have the most amazing roads....I only have Florida for comparison and those roads are amaazing, and great driveways...usually none, they just cut into the sidewalk lol

Amazing roads? pffft. My teeth are still chattering from the bumpy hell that is the 91 freeway!

Actually i have thought of putting a small, custom ram outside of my driveway but thats kinda babying it too much.

And as for the other comments, yeah its just some parts of cali and its quite nice most of the time.

Look up carbon canyon, thats the route i use to get to work. A lot of corners and turns not to mention the traffic is ultra light in the morning
