lol...This is old as shyt but i never caught this post. Can you believe I'm getting a fanboy psycho-analysis from the Vandergriff hyundai sales manager who i straight shytted on when he tried to sell me a gencoupe for msrp cuz its a high demand car? He was offended that i said, "the gencoupe wont be worth its msrp till it can lead in the sports car world. ITS NOT DOING THAT YET. He's mad about that opinion and nothing else" It couldnt win me over in the test drive. But i walked away with high respect for the car. And i have been one of nissan forums biggest gencoupe defenders. I just spewed facts that he dont like. Freakin ricer hyundai employees. Geez.

its not just hyundai fanboys but fanboys for everything, i got told off by a sales manager because i said i prefered to have a golf as a DD car over a honda(note this is at a honda dealership) and the golf he was selling on his lot was much cheaper than the older honda civic he was trying to sell me....

and i can tell you how many times i have been told off by some mustang owner cause i said i much prefer the look and feel of my Z over the mustang

oh and iphone fanboys are some of the worst as well

Type up clutch master cylinder or clutch slave cylinder or csc or clutch pedal stuck to floor on the search function. This is one other issue that speaks to reliability and ownership experience. Never had this issue with the other many cars I've owned.

I think Consumer Reports reporting is representative of the experience of the reader base of the magazine, which is heavily skewed to old farts. When an old fart buys a Z, he or she is going to report things like thin paint and rear hatch latches as "problem areas." Does this mean the cars are unreliable? Not as we define it, but probably as an old fart does. It's just something else to deal with, and the old fart would rather just drive the thing back & forth to WalMart and not have to deal with checking the oil level, looking at tire wear, or keeping up with maintenance schedules. Lexus is the heart of the drive-it-and-forget-it school, the ideal CR vehicle. By that standard, the Z sucks (at least to old farts).

It sucks for the people that it happens to but almost thirty thousand miles in and mine is still going solid as a rock although this last weekend I checked the clutch fluid and looks like that is going to have to be replaced pretty soon

How often are we supposed to change our clutch fluid? I've never really gotten an answer. I'm my BMW, I had to change it every two years per their schedule.

HyundaiUSA Transmission problems...?

that is just one of many issues the hyundai transmissions have, their 6mt...and here is one for their AT transmissions
Transmission Problems - Hyundai Genesis Forum

im not saying the Z is perfect, but after some research about the genesis coupe, that car has so many issues all surrounding with the transmission and while the 370z does have the csc problem and the steering wheel lock problem, they are not as bad as the transmission problems the genesis coupe has and for CR to say the genesis coupe is reliable is a huge misconception from what owners report on the forums....

True:iagree:
And if I paid $500 below invoice for my Z. I sure as shyt wouldn't pay MSRP for a Gencoupe or any other car for that matter.
