Removing the 370Z logo

Yes Im about to do it. I look at the back of the car and I think it takes away from the beauty of the lines.

Is this Sacrilege to the Z community:worship: or do others feel the same way

If it were not so damn expensive to remove, repair and repaint, mine would be gone. The logos are going to be black on my car eventually along with those glaring door handles.

the "370z" emblem in the upper left of your rear bumper cover just peels off, I used some dental floss and "goo gone" and it came out great on my magnetic black z. The emblem in the center, the nissan "hamburger" is indented into the bumper and thus would require body work and paint to make it look proper.

To each his own if you feel it "takes away from the lines" then do it, i like the way cars look without?! I have the black pearl emblems that I need to install as soon as I find away the remove them safely from the indentation... :tiphat:

Yes I mean the letters 370z on the left side of the tail. The round Nissan logo I can live with

I would love to remove the 370 logo as well, but I just can't bring myself to do it on a 40th....

I think it looks amazing with out it. I did it right after i got mine, and was very pleased with the results. Watch a few youtube videos on it, and make sure when you pull the letters off you do so by pulling straight up. I pulled one of mine off by one side and it left a mark in the paint. Also, use wd40 instead of goo-gone, it works better and is easier on the paint. I found that after taking my 370 off it left a section looking a little dull. I used meguiars ultimate compound on the area, and it fixe it right up.

Ya, I'm compelled to leave my "40th anniversary" badge on for sure...I would sooner shave the Nissan Hamburger

is there a better looking badge than the hamburger? i would like to get a "Z" one instead, but i cant find where to get em?

Hambone1 06-26-2011 10:49 PM

I have seen gunmetal Z ones with a circle background, I'd have to look to find it again though. I know it was through one of the vendors
