I feel your pain bra ^^^ my bumper was sticking out in the FL sunlight badge came off easily however I too scratched the bumper ( paint very soft on plastic bumper when hot ), a little worse than yours if its any consolation. It was the damn "Z" letter, its very sharp and needs to be removed via fishing line and not via my method of lifting one side LOL. I took out half an inch of paint down to black just above the Z letter. Oh well..

If you have got rid of all the residue then use some Maguires ultimate compound that should take off the shadows, or alternativly use some ipa also.

So looking at the picture, my z is black... not as noticeable as yours....

In a side not, if you decide to paint your side markers I have discovered that the "Z" is just stuck on with double sided tape. Piece of cake to take off. I've painted mine a few times now and it always chips because I can't paint the sides well enough. Now the that z is off it should work perfect

there are a couple threads on here that will help you.

I'd move your car into the sun and let it sit for an hour or so.

Use some goo be gone or rubbing alcohol and a SOFT cloth. You will just have to rub/polish it out.

I did min and it took more time to remove the goo.

You can do it

I debadged mine last weekend.. and replaced the Nissan emblems with evo-r Z emblems...

Use goo-gone, and a hair-dryer AND dental floss to remove the pieces. On the 370 Z I was still trying to figure out how much muscle to use and put a tiny chip in the paint (which I ordered some more paint to touch it up).

It just takes patience... and all that sticky crap will come off with goo-gone and some heat, soapy water + soft cloth. Just takes a while.

gl!

Will a fairlady badge cover this?

Remove as much of the residue using compounds, then polish, then seal and/or wax. Use goo gone but don't use too much. You'll need a good orbital polisher if you can borrow one or buy one for yourself plus pads. It is a good tool to have for your stable.

Oh ok. I used goo gone too but it still managed to come out like that
Will I just be good if I cover it with another badge? A fairlady or something without all the hassle?

Nope, you'll have to do some paint correction first. I would not cover it up with a badge unless it is clean, otherwise it would look like you are covering it up and be very obvious.

Like he stated, compound then polish should take care of it.

I had a sweet old lady back into my 2010 Nismo on the first week of ownership.. The nice
lady was very honest. She left her name, address, and even her Insurance
agents phone number. The insurance company paid for a brand new OEM
rear bumper and after paint never installed the 370Z emblem or the Nismo
logo... Sorta the old school look and happy with the results ... I see this sweet old lady every
once in awhile at are local Safeway market and smile and wave to her as well.
That was four years ago and I noticed that her station wagon has a few more new additional paint colors on it as well....................

I bought mine used, second owner. First owner already debadged it. I like it, he did a good job getting it off clean and you can't tell there was one ever there.
