Canoe?

Anyone ever consider transporting a canoe on the roof of the Z? Was wondering if there'd be any issues since the roof is so sloped..

You'd need a roof rack to do it otherwise you will damage the aluminum. There aren't any real roof racks out for the 370Z, just a hatch rack, but that wouldn't accomodate a canoe. I wouldn't try it...

Yes, you would definitely need a rack. I got a dent on my roof last year from an acorn falling! Imagine what the kayak would do lol

My guess is if a squirrel dropped a Kayak onto your Z from a tree the car would probably be toast, and then you'd have to worry about the giant Kayak-tossing squirrel.

Last summer when I bought my Z , I took my wife to the dealer to see the car and her first words were " ... stupid car, you can't put our kyacks on the roof!" I answered " you can't put kyacks on the roof of the Accord, that's what we have the XC 70 for".
'Nuff said.

Just stick out an arm while driving to hold on and have your passenger do the same.
Don't worry..it's not going to go anywhere!

/\ solid advice right there!

PS--that's what owning an suv as your second (or third car) is for OP.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that if you have a manual tranny, you can always have your passenger work the stick for you (hey now...keep it clean...)!

Not that I'm aware of, but I have seen a bike rack on a Z once.
