Hello guys,
I just switched to a G37 from a 370Z for a number of reasons that have already been stated. The G37 has everything I wanted for a man getting close to 50 years old. It has a more comfortable and quiet ride and the sound system is truly amazing. Other features that the G37 posseses is the sun roof which can make a drive just gloroius during those 70 or 80 Degree days. The other issue for me which caused me to switch is when you have anything in your back of the Z thats heat sensitive. The hatchback acts like a magnifying glass and can ruin equipment because of the high temps. These are some of the reasons which caused me to switch. Now, what I miss is the quickness and handling of the Z. That car was so fast and the looks from others will also be missed. I had people coming up to me and saying nice car or just plain checking it out. Whatever you choose make sure to get what you want. You can't go wrong with either car. Happy driving!!! |

While many women like the shocker, and will not ever admit it in public. That would make about as much sense as a girl using the username deep throat! LOL

I'll be 41 later this year. The ZR is our 3rd car out of a 2 driver household and driven on weekends primarily. Doesn't make sense to get something practical like the G37 for us!

1. You feel the ride (better connected with the road) 2. Window tint anyone... 3. Handles better 4. Better Acceleration 5. More admiration than a G Hmm... good reasons to stay Z. All in all though, you ask here, most people will say Z. You ask the same question on a G forum, and you're going to get more people saying G. This is why the question hasn't really ever been spoken out loud is the fact your general response is going to be a given... Either way the best possible outcome of your decision is it's not a Honda.

I had an '04 G35 which I liked and considered buying another before I bought my 370Z. What put me off was a big price increase on the G37 and the styling got ugly. The earlier G35's were instant classics. I do miss the trunk, the very occasional use rear seats, the additional cabin storage space and sunroof of the G and would probably buy another one if they fire their stylists and make the car look classy again. The lower cabin noise of the G also made long cruises more enjoyable but you can't really compare the 2 cars.

7AT is great! I had manual transmissions in my cars for the last 20 years (WRX, Integra, etc). I don't feel like I'm missing anything at all. I test drove the MT Z before buying the 7AT.

And another thing that was mentioned earlier....I can't stand the new G's grill. WTH was Infiniti thinking?
