Read on another site. Is it true you can't launch the Auto at over 3000rpms without a new ecu.

Two things: 1. Stock ECU overrides the throttle when the brake is applied. 2. The stock torque converter is not capable of stalling to 3,000 RPM, so even if the ECU allowed you to brake-torque, you'd need a high stall torque converter to rev to that RPM while standing still.
