From Arizona to North Carolina

I'm getting ready to put about 2600 highway miles on the Z, due to me getting stationed in N.C., my car has about 920 miles on it now. Is there any tips anyone has, as far as fuel economy, preventive measures, etc., before my trip.

General rule for any car, Wool blanket, Flashlight, basic tools, flares and water.

Other than that, just some tunes to last the trip.

Have a safe good time on your drive.

Edit: a couple lighters never hurt anyone either.

Devour your car in 3m painters tape to prevent any unwanted bugs, rock marks, and scratches!

Yeah if you have time (and $), ClearBra (or any other protective films) it before you go, your paint (and ego, and resale value, etc.) will thank you!

You by chance getting stationed at Ft Bragg, NC? If so it'll be nice to finally see another 370Z here on base! I've got the only one I've seen so far.

Please please please, check if you have those crappy locking lugs. If you somehow get a flat while you're driving and the ends of one of those snaps off on the side of the road, you will NOT be a happy camper!

Please Please heed this advice!

If i had more time, i would go for the clearbra, but i think i might take the ghetto way out and cover the front end with some painters tape. I'm pretty good about not driving behind Semi's that throw pebbles, but getting all those bugs off the car are a pain in the ***.
