2012 Nissan 370Z GT Edition

Not sure if this is legit but it looks like Europe is getting a GT Edition of the 370z, not sure if it's coming out in North America.

Highlights:
  • Improved suspension
  • Tuned Shock Absorbers
  • Advanced seven-speed automatic now has a snow mode
  • Refinement are enhanced by revisions to basement insulation to reduce road noise
  • Rear parking camera
  • Headlight cleaner (from the pics)

I love how they state "significant" changes.... Those are very minor changes lol. Those that select the six speed over auto dont notice anything SIGNIFICANT besides improved suspension but we dont know how much better they truly are.... Nice significant wheels, oh wait lol....

they should have increased HP like they did with the 2005 and up 350z. Kinda glad they didnt because now I still have the same power as the 370z GT lol

Snow mode, pfft, I live in a desert.

More insulation? I didn't realize we named things GT that make the car go slower. I didn't buy a G.

Headlight cleaner? Only one dude I know mud-bogging his Z :icon17:

I wouldn't mind an improved suspension and shock absorbers though.

Also, the decal looks retarded.

But it's really a problem of popular topics not getting stickied. Stickies on here are ancient and old news. Oil commercial Z? Come on

Hmm I see dunlops instead of bridgestones from the pics

Fro other things I read, any changes appear to be part of the stock 2012 as well, I believe.

And Eurpoean cars all have headlight cleaners but US cars don't.

So the GT appears to be mostly a decal scheme.

Sounds like a waste of money to upgrade if they aren't going to put any "significant" upgrades in there. I could really go with some different seats or at least any boost in in power or even a different exhaust note!

It's a naming convention. Go back and watch the Top Gear review of the 370 when it first came out. Clarkson intros it as the Nissan 370Z GT. Might be their name for the sport pkg?

I think its cool. There is not alot of Z's on the road to begin with so another limited model just makes things more interesting. If the sport model out performs the nismo on the track then maybe they got this updated suspension just about right.

Looking at the Nissan UK site, they have the coupe, which seems to be the same as our base, and the GT Pack, which seems to be a combination of the Sport package and Touring package. Both come std with aero package. It seems this "GT edition" is part 40th Anniversary edition (wheels) and part Nismo ( suspension "upgrades"). I would assume it's tacked on to the GT Pack model.
