EXACTLY. In fact, I cringed when I saw the OP's first pic... of the bike resting on the trunk. Eeek. Anything that touches the paint has a potential to scratch/swirl/mar, etc..... more so a bike seat. But to each his own, I'm a swirl hater, so all my cars are polished to perfection.

On topic, OP, nice job fitting it in there though.... however, I don't see a pic with the trunk hatch actually CLOSED!!!
