Unfortunately cannot drive my z to work because of the parking lot speed bumps. I don't think the car can clear those f'ing things. Besides, being only a mile from home, the car wouldn't even get warmed up.

Yeah I definitely don't see the point of driving to work if you live only a mile away. Unless you're trying to show off that sweet Nismo :driving:

Craziest thing that happened to me was when the passenger in another car leaned out the window to snap a photo. This was on the highway. That really caught me off guard. Lol.

i get incredulous looks from coworkers.. cuz they think i am nuts when driving a 3.7litre car that seats 2 persons... at a time when 1ltr of premium grade costs abt US$1.70 in Singapore

oh well.....

and as for attention, i feel more people look when i was driving the S2000 compared to the 370Z. But of course the 370 is running a stock exhaust whereas the S2k was running straight pipes... hehe

being a minority, i am always asked, in this order, Nice Car! Is it yours? What do you do? Did mom and dad buy it from you? FML. I paid it off myself.

im a minority too and the only person that asked me "excuse me is this ur car?"was a cop that pulled me over for not wearing my seatbelt. i work in a warehouse and the supervisor said one day in front of alot of employees , hey this guy gotta be making good money cuz he driving a 370z ,we get paid incentives now everyone thinks im a high production employee ,i took that as a compliment ,

Usually compliments come from folks who drive uninteresting cars. I got two compliments this week that broke that rule. One from a BMW Z8 driver, and one from an Astin Martin Vantage V12. both gorgeous cars. I noted their cars first, then they asked if it was my Z parked out there, and complimented it as well.

I tell them that it's my new company car.

I'm in the same boat about distance. But where I work there are so many construction going on, detours, rocks flying from dump trucks and potholes that I just take my "huptie" truck and don't have to worry about it.

Makes me wonder what kind of hatin' the older Z owners are getting. I'm in my early 40s, still in shape after spending damn near half my life in the Army, but because of family genetics, my hair is about 80% gray. Mid-life crisis comments come to mind, or out trolling for young girls, stuff like that...

From female coworkers: "Sexy car" and "I love your little car!" and "I knew that had to be yours!" (because I am a car ho)
From a male co-worker: "very James Bond-ish" (that one disturbed me a bit. Not something one dude says to another dude")
From more than a few students: "I'm jealous! That is my dream car!" (which confirms my suspicion that I am immature!)

We have a pretty cool parking lot at the shop... most are modified cars and SUVs. I'm the only Nissan though so I always win. :-)
