I don't expect 25,000 for a few more years. Good goin'.

FromG2Z 06-10-2011 05:58 PM

wow...... at the rate I'm going, I will have 25,000 miles in the year 2036.

I put about 1000 miles per year.... maybe 1500 to 2000 if I'm feeling really adventurous :)

I know I know... I should drive it more often. I am though. It's my weekend/sunny day car only. All my toy cars have been that way. Then in 7 years, another one. Hoping to get a GTR next.... maybe I'll track that one.

I planned to do the same thing with my last sports car but after 7 years of driving it as a toy and in summer weather only it only had 21,000 mi. on it and I found I couldn't get much more for her than most of the other 7 year old cars that had 70,000 mi. or so on them. So I just kept her. Now my beautiful '95 special edition Miata has 35,000 mi. on her and I will keep her permanently as a collector's car or good old friend.
Not the best financial management but what the heck, we only live once.

Dam! I'm 13 months old and freaking out over almost 11k. But I did just put 2200 on it driving down to NC then back going thru VA Beach.

I was at the Porsche dealer today and saw plenty of $100k+ 911s. I left feeling good that I can enjoy driving and putting miles on my $35k Z without any guilt for using it!
