My 370 was the easiest clutch to engage over and over, I have ever known. My 1953 Chevy clutch would likely kill some. The same clutch my Grandma drove until she was 86.

If this deters you from buying a manual, you need more exercise. It is not the cars fault. No, it is not fun to crawl in traffic with or without an automatic.

This subject now reminds me of the whole VDC off, equals sure death opinion. Please do not blame the car for your own deficiencies.
Thank you for this new, exciting, and interesting opinion that no one on any car forum has ever expressed!

Actually, I would like to have it a little stiffer. Better feedback, less wear.

I spent three years in Kandahar, & while I was there VMA-214 & -231 passed through, along with VMFA-232. Those guys would walk over to our hanger about once a month, looking for hardware, or to use the sheet metal forming machines. I can understand the pride those guys feel, but the elitist attitude never came across to me.

BTW I'm a former 15U (CH-47 mech), & I go way back to when aviation MOS were 67 series. I taught a lot of young mechs & new crew chiefs in my time, & yep, there were times I though the same thing you do, Rooster.

I finally hung up the uniform in 07, & became a contractor. I got to Kandahar, & it initially seemed that I picked up where I left off, helping the young maint troops. I never withheld knowledge from those guys. They needed all the help they could get.

I will say marine pilots have major testicular fortitude because the airframes they were flying where falling apart, more hundred mile an hour tape than I've ever seen used. If you don't mind me asking, which bats where you with? I was 277asb and 1-10 attack and 3-3 attack. all at fort drum.
Whatever your branch or what you do or did, THANK YOU ALL for your service to the country!!!
