Default What to do next..a simple Poll

I am looking to toss another mod onto the Z. So far I have only purchased the GT Haus CBE (tail piece)...which I got used but was still a pretty penny.

Right now it sounds great and I understand if I add the full GT Haus exhaust that it will be insanely loud. I am looking to gain a little power though from another simple mod (I understand if I go F.I. it will yield best power gains, but that route is out of the question.).

I am just curious on some opinions on what will be the most effective for a few more ponies??

HFC's / Test Pipes

Easy to install, pretty cheap, can be removed no problem, require no permanent modifaction to the car.

well its either one or the other. HFC's shouldnt give you a CEL, and are slightly more restrictive (quieter, a little less hp), however are a little more expensive.

cant go wrong with Berk

was going to say this, however they are slightly more expensive and the cutting/bumper removal turns a lot of people away.

Sounds like you're concerned about noise. I would think HFC or headers would def increase the noise dramatically.

IMO after a CBE and HFC combination, you're really at the "return on investment" threshold as far as bolt-on performance mods go. If F.I. is out of the question but you don't care about dropping some coin on other mods, then go ahead and continue but the gains aren't worth it for a dd. Just my .02.

Yeah I am not sure about cutting the bumper yet..doesn't sound like fun to me.
Sorry for the stupidity Econ..not THAT savvy with cars yet so I wasn't aware that it was either Test pipes OR HFC's.
What kind of gains would i see from the HFC/CBE combo vs CBE/CAI combo?

either HFC/CBE or CBE/CAI will net you around 290 - 305whp, depending on the car/conditions/tune/dyno.

the CAI will get you a little more than HFCs, but nothing too noticable.

with 500 you could do HFC's and a Lightweight Pulley.

pulleys to consider (NST/Stillen/AMS)

Pretty vague poll and question. But my vote would be an intake.

Would I need the full GT Haus exhaust system to get that though?

$500... humm.... i'd probably do the KN drop-ins, HPS tubes, Kic's spacers front and rear (f20/r20 or f20/r15). the rest just save up for your next round.

get a cool tire pressure guage or something if you dont have one already.
