I need to get another 370Z...
So, to continue where I left off last October 31, 2010, the day when I traded my 2009 370Z/sport with 17k miles for a 2010 Toyota 4Runner:
OK, so my 4Runner has 11.4k miles, and I'm in the process of selling it RIGHT NOW as we speak for $2000 over what I bought it for, and I want another Z... so what have I missed? I'm probably gonna want a 2009 around 20k with sport and auto (this time)....please refresh my memory how to tell if an auto has sport pkg or not, other than by the wheels? If I remember correctly, the brake calipers say NISSAN on them? And the discs are bigger right? I really want a yellow, but would also love to find another Monterey Blue..... ...either a 370Z, or I'ma get me an Acura RL....

OP: besides the wheels, when you peel out, you lay down a double row of rubber. I don't know how the syncro rev features in the auto. The manual has a button to turn off feature right and above stick shift.
Good Luck.

I had a 6MT w/SRM before...I'm looking to get an automatic this time...there's no SRM for automatic...eventhough the packages are the same in cost, real cost to "manufacture" SRM is about $30-40 for the 6MT...

All autos have DRM and no SRM button just a blank near the gearshift lever.
The sport package also includes the front and rear spoiler - I don't think you can get the front air dam except in the package, so that can be a way to tell but some cars didn't get it installed when unloaded from shipping I believe.

well...almost all those can be added, it's the calipers and the bigger discs that are harder (or more expensive) to add, which makes them a bit more obvious...

Well technically everything that comes with the sports package can be added to a base model Z, for the 7AT (already comes with rev matching). If you add everything individually, the two won't be any different but it will be a lot more expensive to do. I plan on doing this myself. The only other thing that comes with the sports package is the VLSD.

Is it indicated in the VIN somehow?

I doubt it, but I don't see why it matters though. The only issue I see with buying a base model with all sport upgrades vs a factory sports package is any potential issues with installation of the various parts. I would think those would be easy to spot just by looking or test driving.
