145ish in a 06' Gti, felt smooth as butter at that speed. In the Z, only 120ish so far. On my Cbr, pulls to 130 happened ridiculously quick. God I

I did 150 in the Nismo......I WILL NEVER EVER NEVER DO IT AGAIN. To be honest the car felt as though it was going to lift off the ground. I did not feel good.

100 in my Z but she's under break in still, and 120 in my wife's Acura 3.0CL.

Hard to go very fast when you live in a city as large as Houston, too congested, found a nice new route today (my Z is my weekend toy, found time to get away today to play) is the day i got her up to 100. I still had the most fun i've ever had behind the wheel, considering i'm still under my break in period.

170 in my well-modded 03' cobra, 170'ish indicated (probably 155-160 realistically on a track) and yes stupid, but 189 indicated on a highway in Florida. Last two were on a bike....
With my 370z I just got a couple weeks back, hmmm, maybe 85 for a split second. No use in going fast in a straight line, this car is slow as beans. But I like the car for other reasons, definitely not for any straight line bragging rights.

True you have a point, but in all seriousness, go to a relatively good car meet without F/I on the 370z and many of us admittedly or not will be shying away from any type of.....spirited straight line runs.

140 in my 92 eagle talon back when i was in hs lol and 186 on my GSXR bike... both were speedo readings so not a true speed on the bike, probably closer to 165 real speed

not that fast but a true nice story-LONG story!
In 1981 I bought my 2nd Z, a 280zx Black w tan leather & T tops. A nice car for that time.
I was coming back from the N.Y.S. Catskills(singles weekend at the Concord After switching to the left & passing lane, a big sedan got on my tail. I knew that I had a slick/sleek car, but since I drag raced a 1966 tri-power GTO, I knew that the Z was not fast. So I down shifted a couple of gears, then gunned it & power shifted through all the gears. Slowly his car got smaller in my rear view mirror & after loosing him over a hill & with the car not having any more gears to shift or rpm availible, I decided to slow down. There, I showed him, so I thought. Well soon he appeared in my rear mirror & started to get larger & closer. Soon I saw him flashing his head lights from side to side. I thought maybe I should pull over. A uniformed cop with hand on holster/gun jumps out of what was at that time one of those new unmarked mognum 440 c.u. Chryslers. Oh sh*t !!! I mumbled something about just getting the car, drag racing past, & pleaded that he never put on his lights so I wasn't running away & some stupid jokes. Slowly he calmed down, we talked, I pleaded till he said I won't get arrested & he'll do me a favor & give me a ticken for going only at 105 mph. With the new lowered 55mph speed limit, 105 was 50 over the speed limit. He said anything over 50mph would result in losing my licence. Nice guy. I got really lucky. No engine governor(sp)? So I would guess 130mph. The Z's at that time did not have much H.P. |

My mom came for a visit and wanted a ride in my 370Z, I took her up to 145 and backed off cuz I thought she would be scared, she looked at me and said "that's all it's got!!", so I proceeded to 155 ish haha
