I had a '74 fiat spider in the early 90s. Beautiful car but unreliable as hell. I had major electrical system problems. Ended up having to hot wire my electric fuel pump with a direct line from the battery --
start up procedure 1. Open trunk 2. Attach wire to fuel pump 3. Close trunk and hurry and get in car before it flooded 4. Start car Reverse that when turning the car off --lol
