I carry either a Sig P229 or a Walther PPS in an OWB Blade-Tech holster. Both are uncomfortable, although the PPS less so because of its thinner profile. I don't care for IWB holsters.

I put whichever pistol in the flip-out storage compartment behind the passenger seat.

An outside the waist band holster doesn't seem to fit well when riding with the seat belt on and I'm not big on IWB holsters. I'm currently carrying a Sig P239 which isn't too small. What do you all carry and how do you carry it?

Not a Z owner, but I carry a G19 in a IWB holster (Minotaur). In a car or not. If I am on a long road-trip, it is in the car though, as it is easier to reach if needed at a stoplight/etc. if someone smashes the window in/attempts a carjacking.

Keep it stoked with 127gr +P+ Ranger T-series.

I carry a Glock 23 IWB with 2 extra mags on weak side and it is very comfortable when driving but I guess that doesn't help you much since you dont like IWB

I agree. If I'm going on a long trip I will place it in my center console and reholster when it is time to get out of the car. Short trips, though, it stays on me.

weak side being left or right? i'm left handed but can shoot either and carry on the right. where the seat belt snaps is what is giving me problems...

Try shifting your holster further back, between 4-5 o'clock. Though that really will only worth with an IWB holster that is a lot slimmer than most OWB.

:iagree: That's normally how I carry my 229 in the Don Hume holster.

Gun on the right at 5 o'clock

If you're going to buy and carry an IWB holster, take it off inside the Z if you can. I wouldn't want that ish pinching my nerve and making my leg go numb. Not worth it. However, any other car that has a different style seat is probably more comfortable when carrying that gun at the 4 or 5 o'clock position.

A small firearm can tuck under the rear edge of the floor mat under your right leg, or even in the door pocket, same place I keep my sunglasses case.
